I. — Élém. tiré du gr. « instrument pour percer, tarière, trépan ». V. trypanosome.
II. — Élém. représentant le subst. trypanosome:
trypanide, subst. fém., parasitol. ,,Érythème observé pendant la maladie du sommeil`` (GDEL). Les trypanides sont (...) des placards érythématopapuleux rouge violacé aux contours irréguliers disparaissant rapidement sous l'influence du traitement (Parasitol., Montreuil, Lab. Roland-Marie, t. 1, 1974, p. 44).
trypanobleu, subst. masc. Colorant bleu renfermant dans sa molécule le groupement azoïque -N=N-, actif contre le trypanosome. Toutes les matières colorantes plus ou moins actives possédaient ce groupement azoïque (...). C'est le cas du trypanobleu (...), dont deux pastoriens, Nicolle et Mesnil (...), montraient l'activité très nette [sur le trypanosome] (Ce que la Fr. a apporté à la méd., 1946 [1943], p. 69).
trypanocide, adj. et subst. masc. (Médicament) actif contre les trypanosomes. Médicament trypanocide; action trypanocide. Erhlich, appelé à juste titre le fondateur de la chimiothérapie, montra les propriétés trypanocides du trypanorouge (Ce que la Fr. a apporté à la méd., 1946 [1943], p. 68).
trypanolyse, subst. fém. ,,Destruction lytique des trypanosomes`` (Méd. Biol. t. 3 1972).
trypanome, subst. masc. ,,Chancre d'inoculation de la maladie du sommeil correspondant au point de piqûre de la mouche tsé-tsé`` (GDEL).
trypanomicide, adj. et subst. masc. Synon. de trypanocide. (Ds GDEL).
trypanose, subst. fém. Synon. rare de trypanosomiase (dér. s.v. trypanosome). (Ds Méd. Biol. t. 3 1972).
